Dr. Ries poses a question with regard to study habits
Take a few minutes to recall effective study strategies that teachers have taught you along the way. Share those with us. Also, where do you find it most comfortable to study and when do you find it best to study?
When I was in school, what I found to work for me regarding study strategies was just repetition. The more I read something, or tried to memorize it... the more it set in. I do not remember much in the way of my teachers providing me with study instruction. Instead I remember them telling me to study.
Fast forward to my life now. Study for me is something that is very rare. I need to burn whatever the subject is into memory the first time. Everything that I am learning I try to associate it with something I already know and find a way to make it fit.
I am so very busy with work, school, my son and daughters sports activities and then every day home life that studying tends to take a back burner.
